Weddings

Appointments are strongly encouraged. When you are ready to place your order, call for an appointment so you will not be disappointed and kept waiting. Swatches of your attendants' dresses are normally required prior to making wedding appointments. You may look at our brochures any time at your convenience without obligation. Evening and weekend appointments are available upon request. A consultant will meet with prospective brides for the purpose of making selections and deciding final arrangements. Daytime appointments are generally available everyday from 1 to 4 pm with one of our consultants. If these times do not fit your schedule, other appointments are available upon request. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your wedding date and time. This $50.00 deposit will be used toward your total wedding order.  No fee is charged for the consultant's services when an order results from his or her services. If an order is canceled or the consultant's services are utilized, but no order results, a $30.00 service fee will be charged.

Early Cancellations and Additions more than 14 days prior to the wedding may be made. Should the whole order be canceled; however, a $30.00 service charge for the consultant's service and the $50.00 deposit will be levied.

Late Cancellations and Additions (Within seven days of wedding) Orders are frequently placed for perishable materials for your wedding seven to fourteen days preceding your wedding day. Therefore, cancellations or changes, especially on some varieties of flowers, may involve some loss and extra expense to you.

Additions to your Order may be made anytime within the limits of time and material availability.

Delivery Time Church decorations and bridal flowers are generally delivered to the church well in advance of the wedding. We plan to be there at least one hour before the wedding and frequently it exceeds that time period.

Note: On the day of your wedding, please inform your minister or sexton that the church should be opened at least two hours before your wedding ceremony, so we can install whatever decorations you have ordered without undue delay or confusion. If your wedding is being serviced, the consultant will arrive one hour before the wedding with the bridal party flowers.

Free Servicing: It is policy of Scott's to provide free servicing for the wedding if the total flower order is $500.00 or more, and if the wedding is held on a Saturday, not later than 5 p.m.

Servicing is defined as presenting the bouquets to the bride and her party, pinning on the corsages and boutonnieres to all requiring them.

Expectations: We will be happy to provide service to smaller weddings, Sunday, and holiday weddings for a fee. A $50.00 basic service fee will be charged to weddings under $500.00 and to any weddings held on Saturday evenings, Sunday, and holidays.

Delivery, Set-up, Removal, Etc.: A labor charge may be required for these services; you will be informed the day your order is finalized to these charges. Labor is charged at $30.00 per hour, per person.
Pick up of decorative rental materials is generally made the same day unless it is a late afternoon or evening wedding, in which case, pick up will be Monday with prior arrangements being made.

Disposal of Decorative Materials: All pew bows, candles, flowers, and cut greens become property of the customer.

Rented reception materials, such as vases, votives, mirrors and other items provided for your reception, are not generally picked up by our personnel. We will assume you will use the materials until finished with them -not more than five days and you will than return them to our shop. If we pick up rental items, you will be charged $30.00 per hour per person.  Please discuss it with us if this arrangement is not practical for you. Any rental item not returned will be charged full price.

Payment: We will expect a deposit of $50.00 or more at the time the order is placed.  When the copy of the order is sent to you and finalized, 10% of the total order is due with the remaining balance to be paid 14 days prior to the wedding date.

Descriptions of wedding flowers suitable for presentation to newspapers will be provided at no additional cost. Generally, you will receive your detailed description the week after your wedding. If you require it earlier, a week's notice is needed to prepare it.
